Restorative

Many patients require restorative services to help their teeth stay at their best. Dental Care Toronto provides you with high quality restorative care.

Inlays/Onlays

Restorative CareInlays and onlays are usually made from porcelain or a composite so that they can be shaded the same color as the natural teeth. They are used to repair mild to moderately decayed teeth. They are usually used on the back teeth and often replace metal fillings that are aging or damaged. The inlays are used within the cusp of the tooth while onlays are used when the decay goes all the way out to one or more cusps.

Bridges

When a tooth is missing, the gap can be filled with a dental bridge. Crowns are created for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth is attached between the crowns. Bridges may also be attached to implants when multiple teeth are missing.

Tooth-colored Fillings

A filling is often called a restoration and is used to fill the space left after decay has been removed from a cavity. There are many types of materials that can be used, but tooth-colored fillings are gaining in popularity because they mimic the natural teeth and help improve the look of the smile. Porcelain and composite materials are able to be color matched to the natural teeth.

Crowns

Crowns are often used to protect a tooth that is weak, to repair a worn or broken tooth, to cover a large filling, to anchor a bridge or to cover an implant.

Dentures

Dentures are false teeth that are designed to replace missing teeth and may be attached with adhesives or may be attached to dental implants.

Implants

Dental implants are implanted into the jawbone and act like teeth as they support a crown, a bridge, or dentures.
